This course is aimed at the smaller work place that present low health & safety risks. These people will be able to give support to qualified first aiders. Training should last 4-6 hours but is not HSE approved.

Course content:  

• Understand the aims of first aid
• Administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is:
  • unconscious
  • choking
  • wounded or bleeding
  • in shock
• Provide appropriate treatment for minor injuries
• Recognise and take appropriate action in the event of other illnesses
