SOME Training Ltd was established in 2006 with the aim of delivering a range of health and wellbeing training courses and services, including First Aid and Complementary Therapies.
Together Sue Mousley and Eunice Owen (SOME!) who have known each other since 1979, have many years’ experience within the health industry which is varied and diverse.
SOME Training Ltd is registered with Lantra Awards to offer First Aid courses including, First Aid at Work (FAW), Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), Paediatric and Early Years First Aid and +F (Forestry) First Aid and AED Training.
SOME Training Ltd offer training, advice and treatments in complementary therapies, specialising in pregnancy and childbirth as well as general health and wellbeing.
We are a small, flexible company which can accommodate the changing needs of workforce education for individuals and companies, whilst maintaining the highest professional standards and ensuring quality. We are located in the Midlands, but with the flexibility to travel to local, national and international locations.
Meet the Team
My background is in nursing and midwifery since 1979 until retirement at the end of 2015. Although, I work in the capacity as operational lead for a voluntary project at the local hospital.
In 2006 I became a Lantra Awards Registered Instructor and Examiner in First Aid for adults and children, as well as delivering first aid courses I am an External Verifier for Lantra Awards to ensure quality and standards are met in the industry and also train new instructors to deliver First Aid training and write industry materials.
I qualified in Aromatherapy and Massage in 1996 with the Jill Bruce School of Aromatherapy, I specialised predominantly in the maternity care setting up an aromatherapy service within the local maternity unit, working with pregnant clients and teaching health professionals and therapists locally and internationally. I also work in generally as a therapist and am insured with the relevant professional bodies.
Other skills acquired over the years are Baby Massage Instructor, Bach Flower Remedies Level 1 & 2, Professional Relaxation Therapy Diploma and a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma. I also have qualifications in Nail Care and am a consultant for Neals Yard Organic Aromatherapy Products.
I have written various articles for journals and magazines as well as contributing to books in subjects relating to complementary therapies.
I am a qualified nurse and continue to work as a health professional since 1978; I have experience in working in Orthopaedics, Accident and Emergency, Out of Hours District Nursing and Practice Nursing.
I am a Lantra Awards Registered Instructor and Examiner and an External Verifier for First Aid. I am involved in teaching people to become First Aid Instructors and giving technical advice to Lantra Awards.
As well as delivering a range of First Aid courses across the whole spectrum, I also deliver training in AED (Automated External Defibrillator), Anaphylaxis and Epipen administration.
I also have other skills in Bach Flower Remedies Level 1 and 2, Level 2 Basic Body Massage and Level 2 Manicure.
I have been involved in writing materials for the First Aid industry in line with current national guidelines.
